Join us in Welcoming Gayle Pavone, EBH Principal

We are excited to introduce Gayle Pavone as the newest addition to our school community at EBH. Gayle brings with her a wealth of experience and a passion for education that has shaped her journey from a young student in Kenya to our new EBH Principal.

EBH Principal Gayle Pavone

Gayle's educational path began in Kenya, where she attended both Kenyan public school and American boarding school. Early on, she discovered her love for working with younger students. Her teaching career includes several roles, including Kindergarten and 3rd-grade teacher, and later, a Reading Coach and Coordinator. During her time as a Reading Coach Gayle developed an appreciation for instructional leadership, recognizing the impact of professional development, data-driven insights, and well-equipped educators on student success.

Gayle's leadership path is impressive. She served as a Director of Pupil Personnel and Student Services, Principal for grades 5-7 and PreK-3, and Director of Special Education, among other pivotal roles. Each position has contributed to her understanding of education and her commitment to fostering environments where both students and staff can thrive.

Gayle envisions EBH as a community where students flourish academically and socially. Her goals include continuing to enhance the curriculum to support learners and leveraging data to inform strategic instructional decisions. Building strong relationships with all stakeholders is a top priority for her this school year, alongside integrating the Leader in Me program already in place at EBH.

Describing her leadership style, Gayle emphasizes collaboration and the transformative power of teamwork in education. She says, "I believe in the collective effort of educators, families, and the community in shaping positive outcomes for students. To foster transparency and engagement, I plan to communicate regularly through electronic newsletters for families and weekly updates for staff, ensuring everyone remains informed and connected."

Gayle said she intends to honor and build upon EBH's existing traditions and events. She values the contributions of parents and the wider community, aiming to create opportunities for meaningful engagement  that will help improve the school experience for everyone.

Gayle enjoys spending time outdoors, whether running, hiking, or exploring national parks with her daughter. Her personal interests reflect her commitment to wellness and exploration, qualities that resonate with her educational philosophy of student development.

Gayle Pavone's arrival marks an exciting chapter for EBH. Her extensive leadership and dedication to student success promises to elevate our school community to new heights. Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Gayle as she embarks on this journey with us at EBH.
